With the new BMW iDrive, the use of Apple CarPlay is even more seamless. On the BMW curved display, you can access all kinds of iPhone apps even for parking and charging and using your apps in CarPlay. Voice assistant Siri is there for you at your request without the need to even push a button.
For your navigation, Apple Maps is perfectly integrated into the new instrument cluster. The head-up display also shows you the next turn and in the future, you can also lookout for new features like EV routes in Apple Maps.
BMW i4 comes with a 5G e-sim
The BMW i4 comes with a 5G capable e-sim which will make the connectivity services like communication, infotainment, and the safety features 20 times faster than before. The car basically becomes one of your smart mobile devices itself. This personal e-sim is provided by preferred mobile network partners and is tied to the driver which means it even follows you when you are using a different vehicle.

All other driving assist and safety features are common in both the models. At this price range and feature the 2022 BMW i4 comes in direct rivalry with Tesla Model S, Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, and KIA EV6.
