The Kia Sonet offers both petrol and diesel options. It shares its engines with Hyundai Venue. It offers 3 engine options. They are 1 diesel and 2 petrol variants.
One of the petrol versions has a 1.2L naturally aspirated engine. This generates a power of 83 bhp and a maximum torque of 115 nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The diesel variant is offered in 2 modes of tune. They are lower states of tune and higher states of tune. The lower state of tune produces 100 BHP and 240 nm of torque.
