Hyundai Verna offers three engine options to its customers. The first option is a 1.5L, U2 CRDi, BS6 compliant diesel engine. This generates a maximum 115PS of power at 4000rpm and a max torque of 25.5kgm @1500 to 2750rpm.
The 1.0 liter, Kappa turbo GDi, the BS6 petrol engine is the second engine option. It delivers a max 120PS of power at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.5kgm @1500 to 4000rpm.
The third option is a 1.5L, MPi, BS6 compliant engine. It manages to deliver a maximum 115 PS of power at 6300 rpm and a maximum 14.7 kgm of torque at 4500rpm.

The 1.0 liter petrol engine is mated with a seven speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). The rest 2 engine options are either coupled with a 6 speed manual and IVT or a 6 speed automatic.
