The other options include MG Gloster, Ford Endeavour, ISUZU mu-X and Skoda Kodiaq. Talking about the 2020 Mahindra Alturas G4, it is a rebadged version of 2nd generation Ssangyong Rexton. Alturas G4 is a body-on-frame 7 seat SUV and it is the most expensive car ever sold by Mahindra. With Alturas G4, Mahindra entered the premium segment and provided Indian buyers with an alternative to Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.
What drives 2020 Mahindra Alturas G4?
Alturas G4 runs on a 2.2 L 4-cylinder diesel engine and uses a Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic gearbox to transmit torque to the wheels. You get an option to buy Alturas G4 with 4×2 and 4×4 driveline. There are no step-up variants in terms of features but Alturas G4 4×4 variant offers more than its 4×2 variant. It means you have to buy the 4×4 variant to get other features.

Alturas G4 is longer than Fortuner and slightly shorter than Endeavour and the same goes for its wheelbase. Despite being that much longer, it has a good minimum turning radius of 5.5 m which is again smaller than both Fortuner and Endeavour.
