Engine & Performance
The Dominar 250 is powered by BS6, liquid-cooled 248.8 CC, DOHC engine. This generates a power of 26.63 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 23.5 Nm at 6500rpm. The liquid-cooled engine is provided to avoid overheating after long riding hours. This makes the bike perfect for both- cities and highways. It also offers twin spark technology. The bike can rush from 0 to 100kmph in just 10.5 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 132 kmph. A 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch makes it very easy for cornering and smooth riding. The high torque available allows the Dominar 250 to go through difficult terrains with low gears and improved fuel efficiency.
Brakes & Suspension
Just like its elder sibling dominar 400, it has got the upside down fork which is a slimmer 37 mm unit, gives a very smooth handling and comfort. The twin barrel exhaust produces a very growling noise, which adds on the sporty feeling. Disc brakes on both the wheels with a front radial brake caliper and a dual channel Anti Brake System (ABS) as standard is offered to provide an amazing grip and control the speed of the bike. The front rotator is just 300 mm unit.

Dominar 250 fills the gap between a high-power touring bike and a fuel-efficient sports bike. The touring bike borrows every element from its elder sibling Dominar 400 except for the engine. This makes it slightly heavier for its segment.
The engine provides good torque. But the overall weight of the bike is very heavy. Rather than having similar looks as of Dominar 400, it could have a new look. The smooth gearbox and excellent brakes, help you have a good grip and control the speed of the bike.
It goes against and gives cutthroat competition to Suzuki Gixxer 250, Yamaha FZS 25, KTM 250 Duke, and Apache RTR 200 4V.
