The 2023 Harley Davidson X440 is a new motorcycle that combines the iconic style and sound of Harley Davidson with the engineering and innovation of Hero MotoCorp. The X440 is a roadster that offers a comfortable yet commanding stance, quick and nimble handling, and a powerful signature Harley Davidson exhaust note. It is powered by an all-new 440cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivers 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features fuel injection for smooth performance and efficiency.

The X440 also boasts of a host of modern features, such as a 3.5-inch TFT display with H-D Connect Service, which enables smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call answer/reject, and more. The X440 has a sleek and sporty design that draws inspiration from the Harley Davidson Sportster family. It has a round LED headlamp with multi-projectors and signature DRL, LED winkers and tail lamp, a sculpted fuel tank with Harley Davidson branding, a single-piece seat with a grab rail, a short rear fender with a license plate holder, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The X440 is available in two variants: S and VIVID. The S variant has spoke wheels and comes in two colors: black and silver. The VIVID variant has cast wheels and comes in two colors: red and blue.

The X440 has a kerb weight of 190.5 kg and a fuel capacity of 13.5 liters. It has a wheelbase of 1,418 mm, a seat height of 805 mm, and a ground clearance of 170 mm. It has a lean angle of 36 degrees on both sides, which allows for confident cornering. The suspension system consists of USD 43mm double cartridge forks at the front and gas-filled twin shocks with seven-step preload adjustment at the rear. The braking system consists of Bybre disc brakes (320 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear) with dual-channel ABS.

The X440 is priced at INR 269000 for the S variant and INR 279000 for the VIVID variant (ex-showroom). It will be sold at over 300 Hero MotoCorp outlets across India. The booking for the X440 starts on July 4th on Hero MotoCorp’s website.
