The all-new 2022 Yamaha YZF R7 was finally revealed by Yamaha. It is the new super sports bike version of Yamaha. It has replaced the YZF R6 Sportbike. The new Yamaha YZF R7 sportbike filled up the gap between the YZF R3 and the YZF R1 bikes. As compared to all the Yamaha’s “R” range bikes, the YZF R7 has got a brand new body look and a bold design.
Yamaha YZF R7 – The Aggressive look
The YZF R7’s aggressive design provides the new styling statement for the next generation ‘R’ series. This slim bodywork in the bike provides optimal aerodynamics, agility, and speed. For brilliant illumination and visibility during day and night, LED elements are used in the front and rear turn signals, the tail light unit, and the headlights.
The adaptive bi-functional LED headlights and iconic ‘M’ shaped intake duct are also housed. The large openings in the YZF R7 will help remove hot air. The all-new digital LCD instrument is also paneled to inform the rider about Fuel Capacity, Time, Average Fuel Economy, Clock, Gear Position and etc.

YZF R7 – Power and performance
2022 Yamaha YZF R7 engine is powered by a 689 CC liquid-cooled, 2 inline cylinders DOHC fuel-injected CP 2 engine. This grinds out 73.4 PS at 8750 rpm and 67 Nm at 6500rpm. This makes it street-worthy as well as track-worthy. It has a 6-speed gearbox with a smooth clutch. The engine delivers tremendous power and performance with this rpm. A 270-degree crankshaft is provided and this delivers linear torque with smooth and exciting acceleration and very limited vibration. For the first time, Yamaha launched the all-new Assist and Slipper (A & S) clutch to provide seamless control and downshifts. An Optional Quick Shift (QSS) system is also available for fast and smooth upshifts.
Yamaha has featured low clip on handlebars and high rear set of foot pegs and this is taken from the YZF R6. It has given a fully adjustable 41 mm KYB USD fork and adjustable mono-shock at the rear. This is featured for preload, rebound and compression only. The sitting position is very sporty, without making the rider too uncomfortable. A slimmest proportion is given to the YZF R7 Sport bike, of the entire ‘R’ series, to make the sport bike easy to handle for cornering on track and agile. In the front 298 mm hydraulic disc and in the rear 245 mm hydraulic disc, makes the bike excellent to ride during cornering and brake and makes it capable for using from urban commuting to track days.
