2021 BMW S 1000 R Engine & Performance
The 2021 BMW S 1000 R has a BS6 compliant engine. It is powered by a 999 cc, inline-four, liquid/ oil-cooled, four-cylinder, four-stroke engine. It generates a maximum of 165 bhp of power at 11000 rpm and a peak torque of 114Nm at 9250rpm. It has got many street bike characteristics.
The BMW S 1000 R offers 3 riding modes. It includes- Road Mode, Rain Mode, and Dynamic Road. It also offers an anti-hopping clutch and hill start control as standard. Many updated features like- Riding Modes Pro, Engine drag torque control MSR, and Power Wheelie Control are offered in higher trims.

Suspension & Transmission
The engine of the BMW S 1000 R is mated with a 6-speed gearbox. This gearbox transfers power through a chain drive. This helps in having very smooth gearshifts. It makes this machine very agile and responsive. The cornering is made very easy because of the transmission and suspension. ASC for traction control, launch control, pit lane limiter, and cruise control is also provided to get a smooth cornering.
The BMW S 1000 R has an adjustable mono-shock with a 45 mm USD fork. An all-new Flex Frame is also used. It offers better handling to the bike. A 320 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc are included in the braking system. A dual-channel Anti-Braking System as standard is offered to provide amazing grip and to control the speed of the bike.
