It features elegant Chrome tipped grille, new headlamps and Thor’s hammer LED headlamp which is extended up to the grille. It has got Volvo’s signature L-shaped tail Lights cluster with LED lights on the rear end of the car. Except for these features, the car exactly has the same features as of XC90 model. It has borrowed a lot of design elements and features from its elder sibling. It is based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. The Wheelbase has a very funky look and gives a very sporty look to the car. The car has a dimension of 4688 mm in length, 2117 mm in width, and 1658 mm in height.
Volvo XC60 – The interiors and it’s luxury
The 2021 Volvo XC60 has a very simple interior design. It has got a panoramic sunroof and a large glass area, the black soft-touch dashboard is highlighted by Matt wood trim, and vertically positioned to that, there is a 9-inch screen. The Bowers and Wilkins speakers are perfectly positioned for clear and perfect sound quality. The new Volvo XC60 is equipped with a dedicated smartphone storage space that makes it easy to charge wirelessly your device while you drive.
It has got fine Nappa leather seats which gives a more luxury and relaxed feeling to everyone. With seat ventilation and a 10 point massage for your back, the Nappa leather front seats are a treat. The infotainment system is connected with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to have a relaxing journey.
You can simply open the tailgate by moving your foot under the rear bumper. The standard Care Key lets you limit your top speed before anyone else takes the wheel. Advanced filtration technology is fitted to make the air breathable in the cabin.
It is available in 8 vivid and bright colors. These colors include Crystal White, Havana Brown, Bright Silver, Osmium Grey, Onyx Black, Luminous Sand, Denim Blue, and Pine Grey. All these available colors make the car looks striking.
Volvo XC60 – its powerhouse and performance
In 2021, the Volvo XC60 engine is still powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel. This makes 235 PS and 480 nm of torque. There are 3 driving modes to choose from- Eco, Comfort, and Dynamic. The Eco mode is available for the best possible fuel efficiency. It is meant for easy driving and smooth run of the engine all the time. The comfort mode is available for a slightly better response and a bit more excitement. In the dynamic mode, the engine eagerly responds to the inputs and its throttle response is the best in dynamic.
Safety and self-assistance
The safety in the Volvo XC60 is one of its kind. The Lane-keeping aid can gently help you steer your car back into its lane and if this is not enough you will be alerted with vibration in the steering wheel. The Lane mitigation system helps you avoid collision with oncoming vehicles by alerting you and gently helping you steer your car back into the correct path. Your car will send you subtle vibration through the steering wheel if you unintentionally start to drift out of your Lane. The intelligent driver assists technology can detect and help you avoid collision with other vehicles. The run-off road mitigation system helps you steer and break if you unintentionally go towards the edge of the road.
The all-new 2021 Volvo XC60 is a huge improvement or makeover in terms of comfort, luxury, features, performance, and space. It has got very comfortable seats, the massage function for the front seats, the safety features, and an efficient air suspension makes the car more appealing to the customers. There is no other variant, no base model, no top variant, it is just Volvo XC60 and that’s enough. At this price range, XC60 holds a tough competition with some of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market. Some of them are BMW X3, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport, Mercedes GLC, and Jaguar F-Pace.
