The Covid-19 pandemic caused lockdown in many countries. It affected almost every activity in the world. The racing world could not remain unaffected by this.

FIM WorldSBK started this year with its first race on 28 Feb-1 March in Australia at Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The two racing events that were scheduled to be held in March and July in Qatar and Britain, were postponed.
WorldSBK will resume on 31st July

After a discussion with the governments and the organizing committee of WorldSBK, the races are rescheduled. Currently, Alex Lowes of Britain with Kawasaki is leading the championship with 51 points followed by Scott Redding with 39 points also from Britain with Ducati. Complete Stats of WorldSBK
 
 
 
 

The New Schedule of WorldSBK

FIM has updated its schedule on 19 June and declared that world superbike racing which is generally known as WorldSBK will resume on 31st July. The second race of the championship will be held in Spain at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. The race will take place without the audience at the circuit and with limited media presence.
