The new Duke 200 is now being tested by Bajaj Auto on Indian roads. By 2023, the forthcoming 200 Duke is most likely to make its formal debut in India.
A new model year upgrade for the KTM Duke 200 is probably coming shortly. The new model is now being tested on Indian public roads by Bajaj Auto. Even the larger 390 Duke was previously seen testing overseas on a spy camera back in June of this year. The debut of the new Duke lineup is probably going to be announced by the corporation sometime in 2023.
The Duke 200 is probably going to come across as considerably more hostile than its current avatar. The test prototype may be seen having new bodywork as well as a split LED headlight. Readers with keen eyes would also notice that the bike’s sub-frame has been upgraded. Although the manufacturer has made an effort to conceal details with the camouflage pattern, the bike’s aggressive design geometry, particularly the tank shrouds, continue to contribute sharpness to the overall aesthetic.
Expect the mechanicals to stay the same, despite potential significant changes in the design elements. Most likely, the 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 25.4 horsepower and 19.5 Nm of torque will remain in the new 200 Duke. The engine will still be coupled to a 6-speed transmission. The mechanicals of the bike won’t change, but its feature list might be modified. A sizable LCD instrument cluster and new, longer mirror stalks are featured on the test prototype. Although the hardware kit still looks like a USD one, the mono-shock in the back is now positioned offset.
The front disc on the prototype appears to be bigger and more substantial than the front disc on the current RC 390.
Expect the model to be launched for India by next year even if there is no formal indication of this.
